What are the legal requirements for installing electrically powered water features in the united kingdom?

1. None, makes you proud dosen't it?!
2. Domestic or commercial? Go solar powered. Low voltage, no danger, less waste.
3. If you are planning on putting it into the mains, and it is a new installation, then it has to be done by a tradesman or if you do a DIY job a certificate must be issued by a suitably qualified electrician. This is a new law though(effective early in 2005) and, while I cannot condone it, people are still installing new installations and claiming that they were put in in 2003!!!!
