I want to build a indoor dog water trough, any ideas?
Hey! I have a wall in my kitchen that needs something, and I have many dogs as I run a rescue for them. I thought of building an indoor watering trough that filters and circulates the water, while also having a fountain at either end to add an aesthetically pleasing feature as well. I can get foutain pumps, to circulate, but I'm wanting to add a filter to it. I'm also at a loss for what to use for the actual basin itself. I'm looking for something about 1-1 1/2 feet wide, and about 3 foot in length. Anyone got any ideas? I'm not very creative when it comes to this stage in the game... Thank you so much!

- Maybe something like a window box planter that you could put on a Sturdy stand to avoid tiping accidents . Some window box planters are plastic and do not have the drain holes cut out.
- why do that? why not just have a hose in your house or in a barn. I have seen people do this who own horses.
- a plastic storage tub at wally world
- I would suggest either the window box, like Roger did, or perhaps a galvanized pickling basin (available where canning supplies are sold). They are about 1 1/2 - 2 feet wide, 3 - 4 feet long and have rounded ends to avoid getting poked by corners.
- how about a series of urinals, so you can teach the dogs to drink and pee all in one...
