I want to replace the faucet (spigot) on my tub with one that has a valve (not a diverter) in the faucet itself. This is the only way I can avoid replacing the entire bath-plumbing assembly (which I can't afford!), as the pipes are apparently 'frozen' so that the plumber won't even try to replace a washer in the hot water knob. I can only find this feature on 'outdoor' faucets, some of which are labeled 'outdoor only'. I don't see how there can be much difference in a bit of bent tubing with a valve inside it that connects to the town water-lines.
