Wall Water Features

Imagine my therapy room?

I am decorating my therapy room of which the walls are earthstone colour in it i have a hydraulic bed, small water feature, candles, bonsai tree, relaxation cd's and a large meditation figure which stands in the corner of the room. I want to make the room as relaxing as i can without overdoing it. Any suggestions?

  1. cream for the other walls as it should be calming and neutral?put some wind chimes at the window and dress your windows in a light voile calm sounds great with your accessories
  2. I would recommend you choose something from the Farrow and Ball range. As paint it is absolute junk and you might end up doing lots of coats, it also marks very easily. However, I would recommend it as it has no vinyl and therefore gives a dead flat finish. The colours are nice, there are lots of neutral, but not boring beige type colours, although the paint you get in the can may be a couple of shades away from what is on the sample card. Most of the designer emulsions have no vinyl in them and so are impractical if you have kids sticky fingers and dogs rubbing up against them etc., but their dead flat finish is unconsciously the most pleasing.
  3. Sounds lovely. you may find a small japanese maple more appropriate than a bonsai - a bonsai after all is artficially stunted. I wonder about the meditation figure- it sounds as if it has a 'presence' - is it friendly?
  4. Have some crystals about the room, ones you feel comfortable with & are drawn to, they produce lots of natural healing energy which is an essential for your endeavor! Best wishes to you...
