How do I get the suds out of my huge wall fountain?
I can't get it off the wall so i need to pour something into it to get rid of the suds?

- The best way would be to buy the de-foaming stuff they use in carpet steam cleaners. That's a little pricey though. Try adding salt. Sometimes that works.
- Short -term solution: A cheap way out of this might be to go to your local home improvement store or hardware store and get some silicone spray lubricant. Silicone is one of the primary ingredients in anti-foaming solutions. A quick spray on the surface will break the surface tension of the water. The surface tension of an aqueous solution is what allows water to entrap air and hold it as bubbles. The bubbles should break down pretty quickly, but depending on what is in the water that made it foam up to begin with, you may have to repeat this, or replace the water. Long-term solution: Just because you can't remove the fountain doesn't mean you can't replace the water. If you can't afford a small pump, siphon it out if necessary. Get a length of plastic tubing or garden hose and immerse it completely in the water until the bubbles come out of the hose. Then, keeping one end submerged in the fountain, cap the other end with your thumb and pull it out of the fountain and lower it to a waiting bucket on the floor. (A floor drain would be better so you don't have to keep emptying a bucket.) When you release your thumb, gravity should get the siphon action to begin, and the water will continue draining from the fountain as long as the upper end remains submerged in water.
